Foodland brings ‘Food for the Soul’ back for 2026, turning stores into galleries across South Australia.
Foodland is once again proud to partner with SALA (South Australian Living Arts) for our sixth consecutive year of the ‘Food for the Soul’ Exhibition, transforming instore spaces into galleries that showcase local talent.
SALA is all about connecting communities with South Australian artists in venues beyond the traditional gallery walls, and there’s nowhere quite like the supermarket aisle to bring art to everyday life.
This year’s exhibition is bigger than ever, with over 35 Foodland stores hosting more than 40 local artists and over 100 original artworks. Many of our featured artists have returned year after year, and we love seeing their work grow alongside the exhibition.
Foodland held a morning tea for artists to launch the exhibition on Friday 31st July at Foodland Munno Para, thank you to those artists who attended.

Collectable SALA totes, now in store
To celebrate the festival, we’ve released a limited-edition range of SALA tote bags featuring original designs from three South Australian artists: Henry Cockington, Lisa Khan and Louise Vadasz. Available now in participating stores, 50c from every tote sold goes directly to the SALA Artists Fund, supporting the ongoing work of South Australian artists.
