Great food lives here.

Foodland to add to their Adelaide Hills offering with new Nairne store

Set to open on the 22nd of October 2020, Foodland Nairne will be owned and operated by the Klose family, and will be their 6th store in the beautiful Adelaide Hills region.

The new store aims to enhance the town by offering a shopping destination that locals will be proud of, providing great food and exceptional service—as well as employment opportunities in the local community for people of all ages.

Like all Foodland stores, Nairne will boast a wider and more exciting range than other supermarkets, as well as a passion for customer service. Store Manager Ken Hodges believes that these differentiating factors, as well as Nairne’s specific offerings, will delight customers.

“Nairne Foodland will feature a Fresh Fruit and Veg Department with produce delivered daily,” he says. “We will also have a Service Deli with a wide range of local and imported fresh meats and cheeses, a Bakery Department baking bread daily and a fresh Meat Department with our own instore butchers ready to answer any questions customers may have!”

“What I love about independent retailing and Foodland is the opportunity to work with the local community (both customers and suppliers),” he continues. “Plus, I really enjoy the chance to have an influence on how the supermarket is run—overall, I am excited for everyone to see the new store; we are certainly very proud of it.”

Nairne Foodland will open to the public on Thursday, the 22nd of October and will be located on 121 Princes Highway, Nairne, SA, 5252!

Our Mini Q&A with the Store Manager of Nairne, Ken Hodges…

Are you a local to Nairne?

I am currently living in Adelaide, prior to this I spent most of my life living in the Barossa Valley which has given me an understanding of the importance of a thriving local country community.

If you had a guest visit Nairne, where would you take them?

After spending some time in the Foodland gathering some fresh meats, cheese and freshly baked bread I would then go for a stroll up the vibrant main street before enjoying our goodies in one of the local parks
