Lemonade scones

Try these quick and easy three ingredient scones for a Sunday morning brunch.

  • Preheat oven to 180°C. Line tray with baking paper.
  • Combine self raising flour, cream and lemonade in a bowl and mix until combined. Try not to over mix as this will make the scones dense.
  • Place dough onto a floured surface and knead gently, then pat into a disc shape 2.5cm thick.
  • Use a 6cm round cutter to cut round shapes. Flour cutter in-between.
  • Use a knife or spatula to scoop up and place onto lined baking tray, slightly touching each other.
  • Bake for 14 minutes until golden on top. Place on a rack to cool. Place tea towel over them to avoid tops from getting crusty.
  • Serve with whipped cream and your favourite jam!
