Sticky pork spare ribs with plums by Foodland Recipe Kitchen

Ingredients

  • ½ cup hoisin sauce
  • ½ cup plum sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 6 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 16 pork spare ribs, approx 2 kg,
  • cut into 4cm pieces
  • 4 - 6 blood plums, cut in half,
  • seed removed
  • Steamed basmati rice and lime
  • wedges to serve

Equipment

  • Roasting tray
  • Large mixing bowl

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a roasting tray with baking paper.
  2. Place the hoisin, plum sauce, sugar, garlic and ginger in a large bowl and combine.
  3. Toss the pork through the sauce and place onto the prepared tray.
  4. Place into the oven and bake for 25 minutes. Add the plum halves to the tray and continue to bake for a further 20 minutes. The pork should be tender and sticky.
  5. Serve with steamed rice, lime wedges and Asian greens.
