Recipe - Garlic Cheese Rolls

Garlic Cheese Rolls by Foodland Recipe Kitchen

Preparation Time: 15 Minutes
Cooking Time: 20 Minutes
Serves: 2-4


  • 1 x small cob loaf or 4 medium size rolls
  • 125g unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2tsp lemon thyme leaves
  • ½ tsp ground smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan
  • ½ cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Extra parmesan to serve

1. Cut the bread into slices approximately 2cm in width. Be careful not to cut through the bottom crust, so it will hold together.

2. mix the butter with garlic, lemon thyme, smoked paprika, grated parmesan and mozzarella, season with salt and pepper.

3. Generously spread the butter mix on all slices and then have some over the top of the loaf or rolls.

4. Wrap in foil. The bread can be prepared up to this point and refrigerated till ready to serve.

5. When ready to serve, preheat the oven to 180°C.

6. Pop the prepared bread into the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.

7. To serve, remove from the foil package and lavishly grate extra parmesan over the hot bread and sprinkle with a little salt.
