Ingredients
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup self raising flour
- 2 tbsp cocoa
- ½ cup milk

Instructions
This chocolate self-saucing pudding will be a crowd favourite at your next dinner party.
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a 6-cup (approx 20 x 25 cm) oven proof dish.
- Cream butter and sugar until pale, add the egg, continue to beat till creamy.
- Sift flour and cocoa, gently fold into mixture adding milk a little at a time.
- Pour mixture into prepared oven proof dish.
- In a small bowl, combine ½ sugar and 2 tbsp cocoa together then sprinkle over the pudding mixture.
- Gently pour 2 cups boiling water over the mixture.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. The pudding should be firm to touch.
- To serve: dust with cocoa and serve with vanilla ice cream and/or pouring cream.
