Great food lives here.

Foodland to Open New Kilkenny Store at Arndale Shopping Centre

1 June 2020

The team at Foodland are excited to announce a new addition to the Foodland Network at Arndale Shopping Centre, located in the suburb of Kilkenny. The new store is set to open to public on Thursday, the 4th of June 2020 and will be owned and operated by the Romeos family.

Having been a part of the Foodland family for several generations, and growing up in the Western suburbs themselves, the Romeos family are eager to launch their new Kilkenny location.

“We can’t wait to show the public our Kilkenny store, and the progress of the store once fully renovated – it’s an exciting time!” the family says.

“We have strong family roots in the Western Suburbs of Adelaide. We grew up in Torrensville, and have Foodland stores in Port Adelaide, Rosewater and Croydon. We can’t wait to add our new Kilkenny store to our group and showcase our great extended range and the freshest SA produce to our new customers.”

With ‘family owned’ and ‘community minded’ as their main values, the Romeos family are delighted to continue to service the community through their new Foodland store.

“We love that Foodland differentiates itself from other supermarket brands because the stores are all locally and independently owned,” the family says. “When you shop at Foodland, you are supporting your local community.

Nicole Richards, Marketing Manager at Foodland, is also proud to be adding a new independent supermarket to the South Aussie map.

“Having a strong store presence right across metro and regional SA is very important to us,” she says. “Independent, locally owned stores are great for our state and our local communities—it gives us greater reach and a greater opportunity to support our local economy and producers.”

“As the Mighty South Aussies, supporting local is key, and we’re very happy to see our Foodland family grow with our new location in Kilkenny.”
