Garlic Cheese Rolls

Ingredients Checklist

  • 1 x small cob loaf or 4 medium size rolls
  • 125g unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp lemon thyme leaves
  • ½ tsp ground smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan
  • ½ cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Extra parmesan to serve

Instructions

  • Cut the bread into slices approximately 2cm in width. Be careful not to cut through the bottom crust, so it will hold together.
  • Mix the butter with garlic, lemon thyme, smoked paprika, grated parmesan and mozzarella, season with salt and pepper.
  • Generously spread the butter mix on all slices and then have some over the top of the loaf or rolls.
  • Wrap in foil. The bread can be prepared up to this point and refrigerated till ready to serve.
  • When ready to serve, preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Pop the prepared bread into the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  • To serve, remove from the foil package and lavishly grate extra parmesan over the hot bread and sprinkle with a little salt.
